Double Espresso is 100% pure handloom linen, with linen yarn in both the warp and the weft, woven by hand over more than 80 hours. Flax fibres are long and hollow, so linen soaks up moisture and dries fast, which keeps it cool. It starts crisp and softens with every wash.

Is it pure linen?

Yes. Every saree is handwoven from pure flax linen by artisans in Bengal, and each one takes over 80 hours on the loom. Our linen tissue sarees have fine zari woven through the linen, which gives them their soft sheen.

What comes with the saree?

A 5.5 metre saree, 45 inches wide, along with a 1 metre blouse piece in the same fabric. The one exception is our Silver linen tissue saree, which comes without a blouse piece.

Fall and pico are not included, which leaves you free to have them finished just the way you like. Any local tailor can do this for you.

Is it see-through?

Handwoven linen has a natural, light translucence, most noticeable in pale shades like ivory, beige and powder pink. A petticoat in a matching colour gives a clean, seamless drape.

Will it crease? How do I care for it?

Linen creases naturally as you wear it, and that soft, lived-in texture is part of its charm. It keeps its structure through the day and gets softer with every wear.

Dry clean only. It keeps the linen crisp and protects the zari. Iron on medium-high heat with steam for sharp pleats.

Can I return or exchange it?

Yes, within 7 days of delivery, as long as the saree is unused and in its original packaging.
