Amélie- Red Floral Print Pure Chiffon Partywear Saree is woven in 100% Bemberg™ pure chiffon. Bemberg™ is made only by Asahi Kasei in Japan, who have spun it since 1931 from cotton linter, the soft fuzz on cotton seeds. Its fine threads feel soft and cool on the skin, never slippery or plastic, and let the pallu fall in light, floaty folds.

Is the saree see-through? What petticoat should I wear?

Chiffon is naturally semi-sheer, which gives it its soft, fluid fall. Wear a satin or cotton petticoat that matches the saree's base colour for a seamless drape.

What comes with the saree?

A 5.5 metre saree, 45 inches wide, along with a separate 1 metre unstitched crepe blouse piece.

Fall and pico are not included, which leaves you free to have them finished just the way you like. Any local tailor can do this for you.

How do I care for my chiffon saree?

Dry clean only. It protects the soft fall, the colours and any hand painted or embroidered work. Iron on low heat through a cotton cloth.

Will the colour look the same as in the photos?

All our sarees are photographed in natural daylight, and customers regularly tell us the colour matched what they saw. Screens vary a little, so if the shade isn't what you expected, you can return or exchange it within 7 days.
