Does a cotton saree come with a blouse piece?

Our mul cotton sarees come without one. If you want a soft, breathable saree with a blouse piece included, choose mul modal, which comes with a 1 m running blouse piece.

What is a running blouse piece?

Blouse fabric that comes in one length with the saree, usually at the end away from the pallu. You cut it off and have it stitched, so it matches the saree exactly.

Is 1 m of fabric enough for a blouse?

Every saree in this edit comes with fabric for a blouse, so all you need is a tailor. Each MAYIN saree is 5.5 m long and 45 inches wide, and any blouse piece is extra to that length. What you get depends on the fabric, so here is what comes with each.

Which Fabric Comes With Which Piece

  • Mul modal: a 1 m running blouse piece, in one length with the saree. You cut it off at the end away from the pallu, so it matches exactly. See mul modal cotton sarees.
  • Pure chiffon and chiffon: a 1 m crepe blouse piece, which takes a lining well under a sheer saree. See chiffon sarees.
  • Handloom linen: a 1 m blouse piece. See linen sarees.
  • Tissue: most of our tissue sarees come with a blouse piece, as Miss Earth does. See tissue sarees.
  • Mul cotton: comes without a blouse piece. If you want a soft cotton feel with a blouse piece included, choose mul modal.
